World of Warcraft turns 5 today! And Warcraft itself is going strong after 15 years.

A little post pumpkin patch silliness. The girls were playing at the Irvine Regional Park’s “Pumpkin Patch” and finding that some of them just wouldn’t move.

Convention season is in full swing, with San Diego Comic-Con coming up next week, SIGGRAPH shortly thereafter and BlizzCon after that. I’m scribbling a bit more these days, in between bug fixes and tool tweaks, and spending more time than I would have thought possible at the pool. Sometimes, on rare occasion, I can even muster some time to post here

Highlights of the summer so far – a wonderful week visiting with our friends from Menlo Park, our first movie experience sans Kae, a bit of Disneyland and a lot of swimming.

Serendipity struck and I was in the right place at the right time on Thursday to get a little walking teapot for my daughter from the fine folks at Pixar. Collectors will be horrified to know that a 2 year old will actually be playing with it Read the rest of this entry »

I noticed today, walking about the show floor that everyone was demoing their software on XP32 and XP64, even on OS X 10.5. Nobody was showing Windows Vista… SIGGRAPH is educational in so many ways.
